SECURITY HACKS:
1. Metis Discord Compromised
On July 30, Metis@MetisL2’s Discord server was compromised. Metis@MetisL2 is an Ethereum layer 2 network.
2. Terra Blockchain Compromised
On July 31, blockchain Terra@terra_money suffered an exploit.
60M $ASTRO, 3.5M $USDC, 500K $USDT, and 2.7 $BTC were hacked.
The chain would be halted shortly at block height 11430400 and transactions would not be processed during this time.
Crypto assets worth more than US $6 million were exploited in this incident.
CONCLUSION-
2 notable security incidents have occurred in the past week. One was an attack on social media and the other was an attack on a blockchain.
