SECURITY HACKS:
1. Compound Suffers Exploit
On July 11, an Ethereum deployed dApp Compound.finance suffered an exploit.
The dApp suffered a DNS-hijack attack.
At the time of writing, no crypto assets were reported to be exploited in this incident.
2. Pendle Suffers Exploit
On July 12, a multi-chain deployed dApp Pendle@pendle_fi suffered an exploit.
The dApp suffered a DNS-hijack attack.
At the time of writing, no crypto assets were reported to be exploited in this incident.
3. Dough Finance Suffers Exploit
On July 12, an Ethereum deployed dApp Dough Finance@DoughFina suffered an exploit.
The attacker is 0x67104175fc5fabbdb5A1876c3914e04B94c71741 on Ethereum.
Crypto assets worth around US $1.8 million were exploited in this incident.
CONCLUSION-
3 notable security incidents have occurred in the past week. Two were attacks on front-ends and one was an attack on smart contracts.
A Reminder for Project Teams: Always test thoroughly. Do smart contract audits before deploying smart contracts on-chain. Be alert to any anomalies happening in the various social media accounts you manage.
