From June 5, 2023 to June 11, 2023, all security incidents that had occurred are all Security Hacks.
SECURITY HACKS:
1. Mobius’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 5, the discord server of Mobius(@mobius_market) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. Mobius is an NFT AMM application deployed on Aptos and SUI.
2. Bee Network Nigeria’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 5, the discord server of Bee Network Nigeria(@Bee_NetworkFP) was compromised. Bee Network Nigeria is a Web 3 DAO application.
3. BIFROST’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 5, the discord server of BIFROST(@BIFROSTio) was compromised. BIFROST is a blockchain.Â
4. ZKEX.com’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 6, the discord server of ZKEX.com(@ZKEX_Official) was compromised. ZKEX is a DeFi application deployed on multiple blockchains including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum and more.
5. BNB Chain’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 7, the discord server of BNB Chain(@BNBCHAIN) was compromised. BNB Chain is an EVM compatible blockchain.Â
6. Web 3 Influencer Cole’s Twitter Account Gets Compromised
On June 7, the Twitter account of Cole(@ColeThereum) was compromised. Cole is a Web 3 influencer.Â
7. Skyweaver’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 7, the discord server of Skyweaver(@SkyweaverGame) was compromised. Skyweaver is a Web 3 game application.Â
8. Lodestar Finance’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 7, the discord server of Lodestar Finance(@LodestarFinance) was compromised. Lodestar Finance is a DeFi application deployed on Arbitrum.
9. Kepler Homes’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 8, the discord server of Kepler Homes(@KeplerHomes) was compromised. Kepler Homes is a game application deployed on BNB Chain and Arbitrum.
10. Stella’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 9, the discord server of Stella(@stellaxyz_) was compromised. Stella is a DeFi application deployed on Arbitrum.
11. BANK’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 9, the discord server of BANK(@bankercoinada) was compromised. BANK is a DeFi application deployed on ADA.
12. Web 3 Influencer Franklin’s Twitter Account Gets Compromised
On June 9, the Twitter account of Franklin(@franklinisbored) was compromised. Franklin is a Web 3 influencer.Â
13. NemesisPRO’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 10, the discord server of NemesisPRO(@nemesis_dao) was compromised. NemesisPRO is a DeFi application deployed on the BNB Chain.
14. Helena Financial V2’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 10, the discord server of Helena Financial V2(@HelenaFinancial) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. Helena Financial V2 is a DeFi application deployed on the BNB Chain.
15. Safari Surfers’ Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 10, the discord server of Safari Surfers(@SafariSurfers) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. Safari Surfers is an art application deployed on Ethereum.
16. Ether Fi’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 11, the discord server of ether.fi(@ether_fi) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. Ether Fi is a staking application deployed on Ethereum.
17. RSTLSS’ Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 11, the discord server of RSTLSS(@RSTLSSxyz) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. RSTLSS is an NFT application deployed on Ethereum.
18. Questify’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 11, the discord server of Questify(@questify_gg) was compromised. Questify is a game platform deployed on the SEI blockchain.
19. Wag Media’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 11, the discord server of WagMedia(@thatMediaWag) was compromised. Wag Media is a media application deployed on Polkadot.
20. Atlantis Loans Suffers Exploit
On June 11, a BNB Chain deployed DeFi application Atlantis Loans suffered from an exploit.
Basically an attacker set itself as the admin of the application's proxy contract and exploit the application.
The attacker's address is 0xEADe071FF23bceF312deC938eCE29f7da62CF45b on the BNB Chain.
Crypto assets worth around US $1.1 million were exploited in this incident.
CONCLUSION-
20 notable security incidents have occurred in the past week. 1 was an attack on smart contracts and 19 were attacks on social media.
A Reminder for Project Teams: Always test thoroughly. Do smart contract audits before deploying smart contracts on-chain. Be alert to any anomalies happening in the various social media accounts you manage.
A Reminder for Crypto Users: Be cautious about suspicious links, emails, websites, and projects launched by teams without established reputations.
