1. SHIBA Suffers Exploit
On November 16, a BNB chain deployed token SHIBA suffered an exploit.
The root cause of this incident is that its ICO contract had a logic issue.
The token is deployed at 0x13B1F2E227cA6f8e08aC80368fd637f5084F10a5 on the BNB chain.
The attacker’s address is 0xb9bdc2537C6F4B587A5C81A67e7e3a4e6dDDa189 on the BNB chain.
101 BNBs worth around US $25.7K were exploited in this incident.
2. Kronos Research Suffers Exploit
On November 19, a crypto trading and research firm Kronos Research suffered an exploit.
The root cause of this incident is that the access to some of its APIs were compromised.
13K ETHs worth around US $25 million were exploited in this incident.
CONCLUSION-
2 notable security incidents have occurred in the past week. Both were attacks on smart contracts.
It is worth noting that the loss in the Kronos Research exploit was US $25 million.
