On May 4, a whale’s wallet 0x1E227979f0b5BC691a70DEAed2e0F39a6F538FD5 on Ethereum suffered a phishing attack.
The attacker is 0xd9A1C3788D81257612E2581A6ea0aDa244853a91 on Ethereum.
155 $WBTC worth US $71 million were exploited in this incident.
RUG-PULLS:
1. LAVA Token Rug-pull
On April 30, an Ethereum deployed token LAVA was confirmed to be a rug-pull.
The token is deployed at 0xa0272c11d569E445F8780F8f23f995680F4BcABF on Ethereum.
After the rugpull, the price of the token dropped by 100%.
Crypto assets worth around US $285,000 were exploited in this incident.
CONCLUSION-
2 notable security incidents have occurred in the past week. One was an attack on a personal wallet, and the other was a rug-pull.
