From June 19, 2023 to June 25, 2023, all security incidents that had occurred are all Security Hacks.
SECURITY HACKS:
1. ARA Suffers Exploit
On June 19, an Ethereum deployed application ARA(@AraBlocks) suffered an exploit.
The attacker's address is 0xF84efA8a9F7E68855CF17EAaC9c2f97A9d131366 on the BNB Chain.
124K BUSDs worth around US $124K were exploited in this incident.
2. NFTs Exploited
On June 19, three NFTs including Otherdeed #55196 and #Moonbirds Oddities #1754 were stolen by 0x00001f78189bE22C3498cFF1B8e02272C3220000 on Ethereum.
3. Candy Collective’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 20, the Discord server of Candy Collective(@CandyCollectiv) was compromised. Candy Collective is an NFT application.
4. Realm’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 20, the discord server of Realm(@rlmverse) was compromised. Realm is a game application deployed on Arbitrum.
5. Infinity Skies’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 20, the discord server of Infinity Skies(@Inf_Skies) was compromised. Infinity Skies is a social & NFT application.
6. Popcorn’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 21, the discord server of Popcorn(@Popcorn_DAO) was compromised. Popcoin is a DeFi application deployed on multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Optimism and Polygon and more.
7. YouSUI’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 21, the discord server of YouSUI(@YouSUI_Global) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. YouSUI is a DeFi application deployed on SUI.
8. BTC MACHINE’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 21, the Discord server of BTC MACHINE(@btcordinal) was compromised. A phishing link was sent in the Discord server. BTC MACHINE is an NFT application deployed on Bitcoin.
9. Gamio’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 22, the discord server of Gamio(@GamioNFT) was compromised. Gamio is a Web 3 game deployed on SUI.
10. DOGAMÍ’ Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 23, the discord server of DOGAMÍ(@Dogami) was compromised. DOGAMÍ is a metaverse application deployed on Tezos.
11. Obol Labs’ Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 23, the discord server of Obol Labs(@ObolNetwork) was compromised. Obol Labs is a staking application deployed on Ethereum.
12. Shido Suffers Exploit
On June 24, a BNB Chain deployed DeFi application Shido suffered an exploit.
The hacker’s address is 0x69810917928B80636178b1BB011c746efe61770D on the BNB Chain.
The hacker transferred 1 $BNB to Tornado Cash and bridged the stolen funds to Ethereum, subsequently transferring 125 $ETH to Tornado Cash
976 BNBs worth around US $238.5K were exploited in this incident.
13. Ontropy’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 25, the discord server of Ontropy(@ontropy) was compromised. Ontropy is a virtual Rollup application.
14. Altitude’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 25, the discord server of Altitude(@AltitudeDeFi) was compromised. Altitude is a cross-chain bridge application.
15. LI.FI’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 25, the discord server of LI.FI(@lifiprotocol) was compromised. LI.FI is a DeFi application deployed on multiple blockchains including Ethereum, BNB chain and Optimism.
16. Brainless Spikes’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 25, the discord server of Brainless Spikes(@BrainlesSpikes) was compromised. Brainless Spikes is an NFT application deployed on Ethereum.
17. OptyFi’s Discord Server Gets Compromised
On June 25, the discord server of OptyFi(@OptyFi) was compromised. OptyFi is a DeFi application deployed on multiple blockchains including Ethereum, BNB chain and Arbitrum.
CONCLUSION-
17 notable security incidents have occurred in the past week. 3 were attacks on smart contracts and 14 were attacks on social media.
A Reminder for Project Teams: Always test thoroughly. Do smart contract audits before deploying smart contracts on-chain. Be alert to any anomalies happening in the various social media accounts you manage.
